Nigerian, Nollywood actor & comedian, Sam Loco Efe is dead. The Sixty six years old Nigerian actor passed away today Saturday August 6th, 2011 on location in his hotel room in Owerri, Imo State Nigeria.
It was gathered that Sam Loco complained of heart seizure a day prior to his death. He was later found dead in his hotel room on Saturday.
Sam Loco Efe is known as a multipurpose actor, script writer as well as singer. He’s probably the most gifted actors of the latest Nigerian theatre. He has for several years distinguished himself as a unique talent for both tv as well as stage theatre.
Sam Loco who comes from Benin in Edo State was given birth to in Enugu State Nigeria. He spent most of his child years in Abakaliki. Sam Loco graduated from Theatre Arts Program from the Ancient University of Ibadan in Oyo State Nigeria..
Sam Loco started his acting career when he was initially selected as the best actor for his role in “Langbodo,” Nigeria’s only drama entry for FESTAC ‘77 directed by Dapo Adelugba. In 96, Loco received 3 awards in the THEMA edition.
A few of his works comprise of: Picadilly Circus, Sergeant Okoro as well as Ukwa.
At the time of his death, he’s the national chairman caretaker committee in addition to chairman, board of veterans of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
